Where: Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), Glasgow
When: 18th & 19th July 2017, and on World Hepatitis Day 28th July
An art exhibition and photography workshops will be taking place at GOMA. This is an opportunity to explore in a visual and personal way the idea of how stigma, both external and internal, can affect someone’s sense of self.
In the past month, a series of workshops run with people affected with BBV, who were supported by experienced artists. The artworks that were developed focus on how they see themselves, or how they feel others see them, with regard to Hepatitis C. Artworks will be on display at GOMA. The competition prizewinners will be presented at 2pm at the World Hepatitis Day event.
The event is supported through a partnership of: Hepatitis Scotland, Waverley Care, Addaction, Hepatitis C Trust, NHS Scotland, Art in Healthcare, Forth Valley Recovery Community, Reach Advocacy, Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust, CAIR Scotland and Rabbie’s Tours.
